AIR’s Scientific Evidence in Education (SEE) Forums Hosted Discussion on Students’ Access to College

Washington, D.C. – The Scientific Evidence in Education (SEE) Forums, a project of the American Institutes for Research (AIR), will host a policy forum on improving student access and readiness for college on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 that features a member of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, an official of the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the head of Columbia University’s National Center for Postsecondary Research.

The forum, “Pathways to College: Improving Students' Access to and Readiness for College,” will highlight the newly published Institute of Education Sciences’ Practice Guide, Helping Students Navigate the Path to College: What High Schools Can Do, which provides recommendations for high schools to help their students prepare for and go to college.
